03/08/2008 | The Latest at Crazy Hats

You may be wondering why, for so long, so many pages have read …. “Coming Soon”. We apologise for the delay in entering information but we REALLY have been so very, very busy, but having a wonderful time, meeting so many wonderful people, organising and attending many, many events and hopefully raising a lot of money to support the varied projects we are involved with. Who would have thought that we would have passed the £600,000 mark so quickly!!! It doesn't seem long since we proudly announced reaching the £1/2 million milestone. A huge thank you to everyone who has helped us get this far. Be assured we are not sitting back on our laurels – far from it! With the 2008 Walk behind us (£70,000 raised!!!! – well done!), a successful 3rd Breasts Reunited Evening, a wonderful concert with the Corby Male Voice Choir and children from Brambleside Primary School; numerous presentations and other exciting events we are feeling slightly weary so during August we are having a short break so that we can all catch up on paperwork and generally draw breath before starting another hectic time. With Breast Cancer Awareness month looming (October) we are looking forward to the launch of our new pin badg,e designed for us again by children, and to the launch of our second ‘bra', the first being so very popular and still selling so well. Newsletter No.8 is currently being written (bumper, bumper edition again!) so much of our news will be in there. We will endeavour to get this on to the web so that you can download it and read it at your leisure. Peruse our website further to keep up with all that is going on ......... a lot!!! Have a great summer. Glennis (Charity Founder / Executive Fundraiser)

08/09/2007 | 5th Anniversary

A superb celebration of the fifth birthday of Crazy Hats was held on Saturday 8 September at the Kettering Park Hotel. The charity's President Dr. Roy Matthew was full of praise and admiration for the team which had helped raise more than £425,000 for facilities and support for breast cancer patients and their families. The event featured the ITV Baby Ballroom Champions, Josh Malone and Kimberley Jones, (both aged 10) and Josh's sister Mari-Claire with her new partner Alex Dudley. The display of ballroom and latin style dances inspired all who were there. The 2007 raffle was also drawn with the top prize of a 4 day European break. Later in the night the disco got started with all, including the Mayor of Kettering, Cllr. Christopher Lamb having a chance to strut their stuff.

08/09/2007 | New Crazy Hats website goes live

The official launch of the new Crazy Hats website took place at the Birthday dinner/dance. Dr. Roy Matthew and the Mayor of Kettering didn't even have to push a button, but they did help to uncork a bottle of bubbly. The main advantage is to keep up to date with Crazy Hats events and news. The website is being further developed over the next few weeks. There will also be a chance to make donations on-line and buy tickets to forthcoming Crazy Hats Events.
